{"id":537,"date":"2024-10-21T14:54:38","date_gmt":"2024-10-21T14:54:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ja-ghi.eu\/?p=537"},"modified":"2025-03-31T14:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T14:11:11","slug":"world-health-summit-october-13-to-15th-2024-in-berlin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ja-ghi.eu\/index.php\/world-health-summit-october-13-to-15th-2024-in-berlin\/","title":{"rendered":"World Health Summit, October 13 to 15th, 2024 in Berlin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>World Health Summit, October 13 to 15, 2024 in Berlin<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dev-1.worldhealthsummit.org\/summit.html\">World Health Summit<\/a> is an event that brings together the world&#8217;s healthcare players.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Panel discussion \u201cLeveraging Global Health Strategies for Worldwide Impact\u201d, Dr. J\u00e9r\u00f4me Weinbach intervened as a panellist, based on his experience with the French Global Health strategy and as coordinator of the European Joint Action <strong>JA GHI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the questions raised to the panellists on the added value and impact of the Global Health strategies, Dr. Weinbach pointed out the need for Global Health strategies to define monitoring indicators, as clear and operational as possible, as well as to document and report on the impact of the strategy in order to make adjustments if necessary.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"385\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/ja-ghi.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Jerome-WorldHealthSummit.jpg\" alt=\"Photograph of dr Weinbach speaking at the World Health Summit.\" class=\"wp-image-538 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ja-ghi.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Jerome-WorldHealthSummit.jpg 385w, https:\/\/ja-ghi.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Jerome-WorldHealthSummit-242x300.jpg 242w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 385px) 100vw, 385px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>In Europe, four countries have developed a Global Health strategy (GHS): Germany, France, Netherlands and Sweden. These strategies take into account cross-border threats and include a OneHealth approach, thus forcing policy makers to broaden issues beyond national preoccupations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was highlighted that it is an asset for Europe to have an EU GHS&nbsp; alongside national strategies that are developed based on each country\u2019s core capacities and pool of resources.
