JA GHI—the European Joint Action to Maximise the Impact of the EU Global Health Strategy—was established to address the pressing need for greater coordination and collaboration among EU Member States in global health. Emerging from the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic, the project seeks to transform Europe’s leadership role in global health initiatives through enhanced synergy and strategic alignment.
Co-funded by the European Commission under the EU4Health program and led by 40 institutions across 22 countries, JA GHI is committed to advancing the implementation of the EU’s Global Health Strategy, adopted in late 2022. This initiative aims to bolster Europe’s capacity to tackle future health challenges, promote health equity, and improve health outcomes both within and beyond its borders.
Our efforts focus on fostering collaboration, streamlining resources, and ensuring that the EU and its Member States speak with one voice in the global health arena, paving the way for a healthier and more resilient future for all.
